 By proceeding with a booking for your pet’s transport with PDF Logistics, you are affirming your acceptance to all outlined terms and conditions below: 

1. DOMESTIC PET TRANSPORT:

PDF Logistics assumes no responsibility for:
• Cancellations: Incurring a $150.00 cancellation fee in addition to any other costs incurred at the time of booking.
• Change/Amendment Fee of $95.00 for confirmed bookings, in addition to any other costs incurred at the time of booking.
• Full Payment: Due upon acceptance of the quote before flight booking.
• Weather Restrictions, Airline Delays, and Flight Changes: Resulting fees are not the responsibility of PDF Logistics.
• Airlines Refusing Pet Acceptance: Resulting charges are not covered, and full rebooking payment required.
• Additional Comfort Stop Fees: If pets soil their crate/s during transit.
• ‘Fit To Fly’ Certificate: Mandatory for pets between 8 – 12 weeks and older than 12 years travelling with Virgin Airlines, completed within 7 days of the flight by an Australian registered veterinarian.
• ‘BOAS’ Assessment: Mandatory for pets who are categorised as a Brachycephalic breed. This specific vet check must be completed by an approved veterinarian within 7 days of travel.
• Acknowledgment of Compliance: With airline and government regulations for pet travel.
• Additional requirements:
• Dogs traveling to Tasmania must comply with worming requirements.
• Birds traveling to Western Australia must comply with import regulations.
• Vet Authorisation: PDF Logistics is authorised to engage a veterinarian at the owner’s expense for pet illness or injury while travelling.

2. CONDITIONS FOR PET BOARDING/ACCOMMODATION (if included):
In case of pet boarding:

• Health Warrant: Pets must be in a fit and healthy condition, free of ticks and fleas, and immunised as per specified requirements.
• Vet Authorisation: PDF Logistics is authorised to engage a veterinarian at the owner’s expense for pet illness or injury.
• Owner’s Acknowledgment: Pets might be exposed to contagious conditions during boarding; treatments will be at the owner’s expense.
• Additional Treatments: Worming, tick and flea treatments, if necessary, will be at the owner’s expense.
• Medication Administration: While efforts will be made, PDF Logistics is not responsible if pets don’t cooperate with handlers.
• No Responsibility for Personal Items: PDF Logistics does not hold responsibility for items left with pets. All items must be labelled with the pet’s name and owner’s surname.

3. IMPORT / EXPORT PET TRANSPORT:

PDF Logistics bears no responsibility for:
• Any costs incurred due to delays stemming from weather-related restrictions.
• Any expenses arising from airline delays and/or flight cancellations, changes in aircraft type, or available capacity.
• Any charges resulting from delays related to incorrect vaccinations, timing of vaccinations, or treatment scheduling.
• Any expenses arising from airlines refusing to accept animals at the time of lodgement.
• Cancellations: Incurring a $500.00 cancellation fee for Export or $1500.00 for imports or a Change/Amendment Fee of $150.00 for confirmed bookings, in addition to any other costs incurred at the time of booking.
• Full Payment: Due at least 14 days prior to departure (for export)
• Full Payment: Due at least 60 days prior to departure (for import)
• Deposit: Non-Refundable deposit of $500.00 for export travel and $1500.00 for import travel.
• Weather Restrictions, Airline Delays, and Flight Changes: Resulting fees are not the responsibility of PDF Logistics.
• Airlines Refusing Pet Acceptance: Resulting charges are not covered, and rebooking payment required.
• Acknowledgment of Compliance: With airline and government regulations for pet travel.
• Vet Authorisation: PDF Logistics is authorised to engage a veterinarian at the owner’s expense for pet illness or injury while travelling.

4. EMERGENCY AGREEMENT: 

In cases where emergency medical treatment is deemed necessary for your pet, we will make every effort to contact you. If we are unable to reach you, you authorize us to seek medical attention from our veterinarian. The associated transport and veterinary treatment costs will be billed to you. 

5. CONDITIONS OF TRANSPORT: 

• I certify that my animal is in good health, free of ticks and fleas, and has received at least a C5 (Dogs) or F3 (Cats) immunization. I grant full authority to PDF Logistics to arrange for a veterinarian, at my expense, in the event of illness or injury.

• I acknowledge that due to the nature of boarding, my pet(s) may inadvertently be exposed to airborne viruses or other contagious medical conditions. Under such circumstances, I understand that any veterinary treatments will be at my expense.

• I understand that if tick and flea treatments are deemed necessary, I will be responsible for the associated costs.

• I acknowledge that while every effort will be made to administer prescribed medications, PDF Logistics accepts no responsibility should my pet(s) not cooperate with handlers.

• PDF Logistics assumes no responsibility for personal items left with my pet/s.

6. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR PET TRAVEL: 

• If using your own pet carrier: Confirmation that the pet carrier meets IATA airline regulations for travel including water bowl/funnel.

• Feeding and Medication Instructions: Specific instructions for feeding and administering medications during transit.

• Special handling instructions: Any specific care or handling requirements for the pet during transportation.

• Pet identification: Details of pet identification (e.g., microchip) affixed to the carrier.

• Travel insurance: PDF Logistics cannot provide pet travel insurance.

7. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY FOR PET MORTALITY: 

PDF Logistics explicitly disclaims responsibility for the mortality of pets while they are under our care, during airline transport, or in the care of our subcontractors.
